Vietti, Barolo Monvigliero, 2019 (1.5L) so020224 new italy arrivals offer Domaine des Tourelles — foundedMonvigliero is Verduno's crown jewela south facing amphitheater of ancient fossilized marl that produces Barolo with Burgundian grace: more floral and perfumed than powerful. Vietti, one of Piedmont's most storied houses (the family produced their first single vineyard Barolo in 1961), debuted their Monvigliero bottling with the 2018 vintage, making this 2019 only the second release. The vines average forty four years old, planted in Sant'Agata Marla
