Popkin for Piccolo, Double Wind Quintet, and String Bass, was originally composed by Johannes Brahms in 1873, based on a piece title "Chorale St. Anthoni." Although it is disputed whether or not this chorale was actually composed by Joseph Haydn, the resulting set of variations have since become quite well known and popular.
