This Ohia came out of a luthiers wood supplier’s shop and we believe it to have been cut from wind fall trees after a hurricane hit the islands about fifteen to twenty years ago

It has a tone that is not as bright and expressive. Not as sweet as spruce, but a little darker and earthier. It plays well at all volumes and responds well to a pick or finger.
