Western Red Cedar Acoustic Guitar Sound Board, Dark and Resonant With Rich Overtones and Clear Bass, Dreadnought Size (KQ15) Western Red Cedar but has a clearer presenceWestern Red Cedar is a beautiful wood for luthiers to use in building sound boards for acoustic guitars. It has a sound that many call dark and resonant. It has long sustained, rich overtones and clear bass. It may not be as loud as Port Orford Cedar, but still has a strong presence. Our Western Red Ceder is recovered from the salvage of old growth trees with growth ring counts from 35 to 50 rings per inch. There is a book matched piece 0. 18 x 9 5 8
