It has a tone that many call warm and bright. We recover our Redwood from the salvage of old growth trees cut in the 1890s and early 1900s making this soundboard a very eco friendly and sustainable guitar wood. Redwood is a great tone wood for acoustic guitar soundboards when matched with our Myrtle or Walnut. There are two book matched pieces 0. 18 x 8 7 8
