Heartland® Catalpa Trees The pinnately compoundThe Heartland Catalpa (Catalpa speciosa Hiwatha 2) is a medium sized ornamental tree. It has a narrow form with an upright, uniform branching habit. A beautiful bloom of flowers come on in late spring after the large, dark green leaves emerge. These distinctive clustered flowers are white and trump shaped with a yellow gold center and spots of purple. They also give off a subtle fragrance. \n \nThe Heartland Catalpa was introduced by J.
