Frederick Size:MM106 tolerating poor conditions and diseaseA Welsh sharp cider apple. Small to medium yellow green fruit mostly covered in a dark red purple striped flush. Some russeting around the stem. High aroma quality and intensity sharp with no astringency. Ideal for blending with less acidic fruit. Harvest mid October. This variety was discovered in the 19th century in the Forest of Dean on the Monmouth side. Makes a great apple jelly.
